PROJECTS
Microsoft - Media Creation Tool (May 2022-August 2023)
- Worked on the Azure Edge + Platforms Deployment Solutions team to create a Media Creation Application (creates bootable USB and disks) using React Native for Windows, C++, Typescript, JavaScript, the PC Storage Management API, and a third-party ISO disk reading library (libudfread)
- Application was deployed to an internal audience of users that reported ~175% updated efficiency rate in OS media creation
- The Media Creation Tool application will be deployed onto the Microsoft store with billions of users and affects a 30 Million dollar sector within Microsoft targeting education and technology production industries
JP Morgan Chase - Australia Interchange Platforms Tool (June 2021 - August 2021)
- Worked in the Corporate and Investment Banking line of business to create a web app for Australia Interchange platforms
- Created a full stack web app using Spring Boot, Java, Reactive Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and the Cassandra NoSQL database to process and sort over 300 interchange rules that were previously manually managed
- Presented the importance and usability of our project to Helix management and received outstanding feedback for the website’s importance to recurring payments in the company. Minimized manual data labor by ~30 minutes per interchange rule
Dream Team Engineering - Virtual Reality Simulation Developer on the Suturing VR project (January 2020 - April 2022) - Worked on creating the idea and implementing a virtual reality simulation that is now being used in UF Shands hospital and 5 local clinics for distraction-based therapy research - Met weekly with a team of 3 other students to build the simulation on the Oculus Quest using Unity and C# - Received outstanding feedback about pain relief in research participants; this is an ongoing project with plans to expand past the 5 current clinics, into dentistry various other clinics
Smart Medial Informatics Learning and Evaluation Lab(SMILE) - CT Reconstruction (December 2019- December 2020)
- Worked to reconstruct low-dose CT images under a PhD student using deep learning algorithms, Matlab, Python, and a number of deep learning softwares with the goal of reducing the amount of radiation patients are exposed to during neural scans
- Weekly lab meeting consisted of biomedical journal clubs, hosting research paper presentations, and lab updates
LEADERSHIP
Vice President - Dream Team Engineering (May 2020- Present)
- Dream Team Engineering is a student-run organization that works to create novel technologies for UF Shands hospital
- As Vice President, I oversee our 12-person executive board, 15 captains, and ~100 specially selected members across 15 sub-teams
-Assist with finding new projects, come up with new project ideas, contact doctors and engineers to sponsor projects, and ensure that each member of the executive stays up to task and feels supported in their work
Director of Corporate Mentorship - Women in CSE (May 2020-April 2022)
- Created and implemented the idea of the corporate mentorship program at UF; this is a program that connects undergraduate students with those currently working in industry so that students can get an idea of what life after graduation is like
Research Lead (January 2020-Present)
- Led a team of 2 other students in a research literature review on the effects of dance on children with autism
- Progress of the paper: this literature review is almost completely written and set to be submitted for publication
- Future research plans: our team plans for this literature review to lead into our own research study at UF
Teaching Assistant - AGR 3303 (August 2020 - December 2020)
- Served as a mentor and discussion lead for Genetics
- Held office hours twice a week to go over any questions that students had and review exam grades
VOLUNTEER WORK
Care Coordintor - Mobile Outreach Clinic (MOC) (January 2022- Present)
- MOC is a student-run mobile clinic that provides healthcare to the under-insured and uninsured with hopes to eliminate health disparities
- Serve as a Care Coordination volunteer at MOC where I follow-up with patients after their appointments to offer resources with the community that will help alleviate any barriers to better health
PCICU and PICU Volunteer - Shands Hospital (August 2021-Present)
- Serve as a weekly volunteer on the PCICU and PICU to help children in uncomfortable situations; my job as a volunteer is to help these children have fun and smile even when they are in the hospital
With everything I do, I wish to leave a deep positive impact on people’s lives, and have my work contribute to the greater good of humanity; I love learning how to use code to make our world a better place. While being a go-getting is great, I believe being a go-giver is the ultimate route to lasting change.
